I feel really silly...

Well I thought my water broke last night. It seemed kind of like it happened with Kaylee, I went to the bathroom at midnight and then I was done and more clear fluid came out. I wasn't sure if that was really my water or not, it was a little early (I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow) and it didn't leak like I did with Kaylee. At about 12:20 I had some more clear fluid so I woke up Jake and called the hospital. Of course they told me to come in. Well I called my visiting teacher cause we didn't know what to do with Kaylee. Once I finally got a hold of her I wished I hadn't cause we had decided to take Kaylee with us since I was really getting not so sure my water really broke. I was starting to doubt. 15 min later I had more clear fluid and I figured I couldn't pee that much again, so we got to the hospital at about 1:30 and they hook me up to the monitors and swabbed for a sample and sent it to the lab to test it. We had to wait 1/2 hour for it and it came up negative. They still had me hooked up though cause they had to get 2 baby heart accelerations in 10 min before they let me go. As we were leaving the triage area we saw our next door neighbors -the ones that only speak Russian. There was the mom, dad, their pregnant daughter, and her husband(?). We said hi to them as we left. Hopefully they had better luck. We finally got home at 3:00 am. Kaylee was really good the whole time, Jake was very nice about it and so was my visiting teacher who I called back at 2:30 and told her false alarm. I felt really dumb to wake everyone up and drag everyone to the hospital. I guess it's better safe than sorry though right? I am glad she didn't come this early cause she would be tiny and nothing would fit her. I did find out I am dilated to a 2 and 50% effaced so maybe in the next couple weeks we'll have little Brooke.

A day at the Zoo

We went to the zoo last week on Friday. It was kind a good family outing. Kaylee really liked it. She didn't always want to get back in the stroller after seeing the animals though. We were only there for 3 1/2 hours but my feet were killing me by the end. How did I used to do 8-12 hour hospital shifts? I guess I wasn't pregnant then.
Kaylee was making her little elephant noise while watching the elephants.
Not the best family photo, but better than nothing. (Alicia it's too bad we don't have you around!)
Hanging out with the orangutan.
One more exciting thing....Kaylee has now reached 20 lbs! We are proud of her! I turned her car seat around yesterday and she really likes facing forward! Just in time for baby #2 to be born.

3 year Anniversary

Jake and I have been married for 3 wonderful years! It doesn't seem like it's been that long! Where does the time go? I am so grateful for my amazing husband!

Here are a few pictures of our new place. It's nothing amazing, but we like it. I kind of feel like I live in another country though. Our next door neighbors don't speak much English as all, mostly Russian and there are 2-3 other families that also speak Russian. I hear Russian all day from them and their music. It's really weird.
Kaylee loves the stairs! They are the best toy right now. She is always climbing them or laying on them.
Notice the blank picture frame? It's all ready for baby #2 which we have decided to name...Brooke, possibly Brooke Ellie if we do a middle name. Kaylee started saying baby Brooke so we figured we better go with it.
We are in the process of getting Kaylee a big girl bed so I'll post some pictures of the girls room when it is ready. We'll see how she does with a big bed. I'm a little nervous about the lack of sleep it will cause.

We're Back!

It has been a while since I have posted. We still don't officially have the internet until later this week or next week. I just happen to be picking up wireless again so hopefully the pictures will load. The past few weeks have been busy with us packing, moving and now unpacking. We are still in Everett, still in our same ward but off the 3rd floor and in a townhouse. It isn't huge, but it sure is a lot nicer location for us. It was so great to go shopping and be able to walk right in and put groceries away instead of trying to carry Kaylee and groceries up all those stairs and then bringing her again or waiting until she napped to get more. Anyway we are mostly all unpacked and I'll post some pictures when things are a bit more organized. Here is the outside for now...
Here is my 33 week belly. At my appointment last week I was measuring 1-2 weeks behind but I had an ultrasound the week before so I know the baby is just the right size. She was 3 lbs 14 oz and everything is still looking great. I am due Sept. 26 but I have been having a lot more Braxton-Hicks contractions this pregnancy so I'm hoping she'll want to come out a little early. With my luck though it will probably be 2 weeks after my due date!
