Kaylee's kindness

Kaylee's school has a recycling program and they get rewards for recycling. Today Kaylee came home with her prize, but it wasn't for her- she picked a train for her brother! I thought it was really sweet she picked something she knew would make her brother happy!

Brooke's dinosaur picture. Kaylee helped a little. I love their little pictures but don't want to save them all so I post some here...

Sunday Afternoon

This was 2 weeks ago on Sunday... We woke up to 2 inches of snow and it was still snowing. We thought for sure church would be cancelled so we took our time getting ready... well church wasn't cancelled so we were pretty late- oops. The girls insisted on playing in the snow when we got home. Jake is always good to go outside with them.

This was today. It was 80 degrees so we played in our backyard. I love watching my kids play. Our backyard is really ugly- but we are in west Texas after all. We hope to plant some grass in a few months when it stays warm.

Despite the dirt and weeds and run down swing set the kids love to play outside. It was so nice to just sit there in the sunshine and watch them.

In addition to dirt and weeds we also have stickers in our backyard. Austin really likes pulling stickers out of everyone's shoes.

37 weeks- down to 3 more weeks until this little girl comes!

I love this little family of mine!

Valentine's dinner

We had heart shaped pizzas on Valentines' despite the fact that I had just made them the day before for Brooke's class party. My kids love pizza and would probably eat it every day.

Jake usually isn't home from school yet when we eat dinner so we had our romantic Valentine's dinner without him.

We are part of a babysitting group and Friday was our night to watch all the kids so we watched 10 kids for our date that night.

We were able to go out Saturday night. We went and got Thai food which I had never tried before and went for a walk in the park since it was so nice outside (80 degrees).

Valentine's Class Parties

Brooke's Preschool party was on Thursday. I signed up to bring pizza and I was running behind because of my unexpected non-stress test. I barley got the pizza done and to the school in time.
I made all the kids their own heart shaped pizza (and one more big one incase they wanted more.) The parents were all impressed with the pizza but some of the kids... not so much. They ate their cupcakes and cookies instead... oh well!

Today was Kaylee's party. I made cookies for her party. I wasn't planning on going but Kaylee forgot to bring her Valentines' so I had to take them. They made some fun hats..

and then ate a lot of treats- cupcakes, cookies, candy, and crackers. All we did was stand there and watch them eat but Kaylee seemed happy to have us come.

Austin and Brooke got to eat the extra candy.

36 weeks

I was measuring small at my appointment this week so I had to go in for an ultrasound on Thursday. Based on the measurements they say the baby is about 5lbs 12oz which is about 18th percentile.

Since she was a little small and they want to be cautious since I had a blot clot many years ago they also ordered a non stress test.  Everything looks good. I had Austin with me and he did so well! He just sat by me watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and sipping my apple juice. I go again in 2 weeks for another non stress test and then hopefully the week after that we'll have a baby!
