Do your homework
We have been looking for a Toyota Sienna on websites on-line. We got a reply about one for sale....
It was a 2008 "perfect working condition" Gray (the color I want), low mileage and it was only $11,000 including shipping. She said she was moving to Spain so she needed to sell fast.
Sounds too good to be true? That's what we thought. After asking several times for her phone number and some specific pictures we wanted with no reply except "pay a deposit of $4,500 to ebay motors and give me your name, address, and phone number so I can ship it to you" we knew for sure it was a scam.
I googed her name today and it turns out she is working this scam on motorcycles, airplanes, and RV's. Beware of Maria Roland and always do your homework before you purchase!!!

- Jake started school again last week. He is taking 15 credits once again and is already busy with homework. He got all A's last semester so he wants to keep it up. He has another interview with Rockwell Collins this week, so hopefully we'll know where we are going for the summer soon.
- We are looking at Toyota Sienna's. A second car would be great when Jake has his Sunday morning meetings. He either has to find a ride to church or come back and get the rest of us (when that happens we are always late.)
- Brooke is still talking up a storm. She often uses 2-3 word sentences "Another one please" "Toys Daddy?" (when she wants to look at toys at the store) and " No thank you" (I love it when she says that) are a few. Not bad for a 15 month old. She loves to follow Kaylee around and try to do everything Kaylee does.
- We are trying to get Kaylee potty trained at night. (any advice?) She does great during the day but is still in diapers at night. She got a pre-school workbook for Christmas and loves doing the activity pages of colors, numbers, letters, patterns, cutting and coloring. She loves to learn and read stories. We take a trip to the library at least once a week.
- I'm just doing the usual mom stuff- laundry, cooking, chasing 2 busy girls etc.
We got a membership the the Science Spectrum here in town. It has a lot of cool exhibits and a big room with lots of toys- the girls love it. We also went to the Ranching Heritage Museum on campus (we forgot the camera). It had a lot of old homes from log cabins and dugouts to elaborate 1900's rich cattle owner houses. Next time we go we'll take pictures. I guess we now found a few things in Lubbock to see besides prairie dogs.

Christmas
We had a great vacation but it is always nice to get back home to our own beds and routine.
