We left the kids in Utah with my family after the wedding weekend and Jake and I went home to work Monday and Tuesday and then we headed to Utah again.
This time we went to the Hanni cabin at Timber Lakes.
We enjoyed some time paddle boarding and kayaking.
Kevin and his kids came up and spent the day with us.
Jack stayed the whole time with us. We hiked Danger Bridge. It's a nice short hike.
We made our kids go on and hike Snickety bridge as well which some were not happy about.
It was a nice 2 days at one of my favorite places.
We went to Brian's house to celebrate the 4th of July.
Brian and Carrie have the party house now since they have a pool.
We visited my cousins Mark and Monica again to visit their farm and see the baby goats and piggies.
All of the cities fireworks were canceled this year due to Covid so we just bought a few and watched my parent's neighbors fireworks and they did not disappoint. The neighbors must have spend hundreds of dollars on fireworks and they had music playing so it was a party.
The next day was Kevin's birthday so we celebrated again with dinner and cake.
This was the best we could do for a group picture.
The day after we got home from Utah Kaylee and Brooke got braces!
We also got really serious about packing because we bought a house!
After debate back and forth about a couple of houses we settled on this one- in the same school and ward boundaries. It has 5 bedrooms and a basement.
The week before we moved in I cleaned all the carpet in the house and got up a ton of cat hair. The people before us didn't clean very well so luckily we had some friends and family come help clean the entire house!
We moved July 17 and we had a really good turn out- at least 20 people showed up to help us!
Everything got packed and moved in record time.
July 20 Emma lost her first tooth while we were playing with friends by the Boise River!
The day we got the keys to the house we noticed a rodent living in the window well. We weren't sure what it was at first but the kids enjoyed feeding it grass and carrots. Kaylee even made it a house. It was cheap entertainment for a few weeks.
We finally decided to set it free- we transported it in it's little house and another box to Hyatt Hidden Lake.
We discovered our friend that the kids named "Potato" was actually a gopher.
Per usual tradition we had a birthday cake for Harry Potter on July 31. Kaylee loves to bake so we have a lot of cake and other baked goods around here.
