Some things I want to Remember

Kaylee wrote her name for the first time this week. She has never been able to write a K before (well actually she wouldn't try, she is so stubborn sometimes.) After a lot of encouragement she did it!!

Jake and I are going through a little bit of an identity crisis. We aren't really sure who we are, and everyday we seem to be called something new. Some days I am Belle, others Snow White, I have even been called Ursala. Jake is also known as the Beast, Shang, and  Aladdin. For the longest time I was called Mushu, Jake was the cricket, while Kaylee was Mulan and Brooke was Shang. Our current names are Mary Poppins and Bert. We are never sure who we will be next.

Kaylee and Brooke have finally started praying!! They would  never pray before (remember the stubborness I mentioned? :)   I told them whoever said the prayer would get a pom pom in their jar. Now they both want to say the prayer! Thank you pom pom jars!

 

Peanut Butter Playdough

This is what we made today....

Kaylee and Brooke are both sick so we are stuck at home for a few days. I found this recipe to keep us entertained today. This was really easy to make and it tastes really good!

Peanut Butter Playdough

2 cups powdered sugar

1 cup peanut butter

1/2 honey

I am so happy this little girl has finally decided to use the potty!! I made her wear cloth diapers for a few days and she did not like them. I told her she could either wear cloth diapers or wear panties and use the potty. Thankfully she chose to use the potty!! With a lot of prayer and a little bribery (ring pop) She got the hang of it really fast. We've been to the park, and stores with no accidents!

I love having 2 little girls! They have so much fun together. They have become really good friends and I love watching and listening to them play together.

Loving the sunshine!

It's March and we are at the pool! Texas winters are wonderful!

 I haven't updated for a while because there hasn't been much going on here... We've just been enjoying the warm weather. It's been in the 70's everyday and it is fabulous! We've been going to playgroup and enjoying the park, zoo, and science museum!

We've also been baking and playing dress up. I had to take little red riding hood and a fairy visiting teaching earlier this week.

Here is Brooke proud of her full pom pom jar! Instead of a sticker chart (I got tired of making them and the girls took forever to pick a sticker) we started getting pom poms in a jar anytime they do their chores, put toys away or make good choices.

When the jar is full they get to pick a prize from the basket.

 Brooke's favorite prize is a ring pop...

She really loves them! Kaylee is really close to getting her princess glitter crayons. It's been a great way to get the girls to help out and get ready for the day without a lot of tears (getting hair done around here is like torture some days.)
