Urgent Care

Wednesday night Jake was at the temple. I got a call from him 45 min after the session started. He said he really wasn't feeling well and wanted me to come pick him up. I loaded the kids up in the car and drove to the church (it's right next to the temple.)

Jake was feeling really off, shaky, light headed , thirsty, and had a hard time concentrating. We decided we should just go to an urgent care. Right then a doctor happened to pass is in the hall . I asked him where an urea the care was an she looked it up and called it for us.

I sat with four kids for over an hour in the waiting room. They were good but they were tired. Finally I decided to take them home and come back for Jake. I called my friend Mindy and she stayed with my kids.

When I got back Jake was done. Based off symptoms the doctor said it was a hypoglycemic episode. His blood tests came up fine but I had given him root beer and a snack at the church.  Jake has a doctor appointment tomorrow. Hopefully they can find out if he has a problem or if his troubles are stress induced.

Halloween Festivities

Thursday night was the Fall festival at the girls school but I didn't buy tickets and Jake and I really didn't want to go. We convinced the kids carving pumpkins would be just as fun.
Pumpkin carving is always a lot more work for the parents. Jake and Kaylee scrapped out the guts- I hate that part, and the kids each picked a design.

Kaylee chose an owl, Austin a scary face and Brooke a bunny face.

Friday night was our ward Trunk or Treat. Before we left we had our traditional jack o' lantern pizza.

Here is the crew all ready. Batman, Elsa, Hogwarts student, witch, and Chris Kratt.

The kids made sure our trunk was decorated.

After getting their haul of candy the girls sat with friends and ate and ate candy until it was time to leave.

On Halloween we went to a friends house for a Halloween party. We had dinner (soups and bread) and then the kids played games.

The classic doughnut on a string.

Minute it to Win it games....

After the party we took our kids trick or treating. We went around our small block and Austin was done. He was tired and wanted to go home so we did.
I almost forgot to take a picture of them in their costumes. Austin had already changed but he still had his batman shirt.

Jake put the little ones to bed and I took the girls to a few more houses.

I tried all week to put this costume on Emma and she wasn't having it. I finally bribed her with candy the day after Halloween and she let me put it on her. Cute little cow!
