We went to lunch yesterday to celebrate a great school year. The girls got all A's and Kaylee got into the Gifted Talented program. Now hopefully we can survive summer vacation!

Last Day of School
The girls were so excited about the last day of school!
I went up to take some pictures of them with their friends. As soon as I walked on the playground Brooke's friends swarmed Emma. They all love her and are a little overbearing sometimes.
Brooke was really cute with Austin. She let me line up with her class and held his hand. She let him eat pizza by her and took good care of him. Austin though it was pretty cool to be a kindergartener.
Austin and Emma joined in the fun-chalk, painting, and bounce houses.
Later that night we had ice cream sundaes to celebrate the start of summer.

Family Resemblance
My mom sent this picture often dad saying she thought he looked similar to Austin. I had to do a side by side. There is definitely a family resemblance!
Memorial weekend
We went to the cemetery today to walk through and show our kids all the soldiers who have died for our country and freedom. I'm grateful for their sacrifice.
We walked through a part of the cemetery called Babyland. I'm so grateful none of my babies have ended up there!
This little baby just wanted to pick every dandelion she saw.
Piggy tails
I'm so happy Emma's hair is long enough for piggy tails. She actually holds still pretty well for me to do her hair.
Projects
Yesterday our friends Patrick and Jennie came over to help us with a few projects. Jennie is an interior designer and I asked her to help me with my living room.
The fireplace took longer than we thought but I think it turned out awesome!
Here is the dinning room. We painted and built the shelves.
Buddy Day
Friday was Buddy Day (AKA field day) at Northridge Elementary. This was the second year in a row it was rained out. They still got to jump on bounce houses inside the school but it wasn't quite the same.
Talent Show
Kaylee and I hula hooped for the Activity Days mother-daughter talent show on Wednesday. We did the Cha Cha Slide while hula hooping.
Kinder Graduation
It's official Brooke graduated from kindergarten! They had a little ceremony and reception in her classroom. Kindergarten didn't challenge her academically but she did grow in confidence and independence and made some great friends. She is so excited for summer break.
Brooke and Mrs. Dominy.
Paint Party
Brooke went to a fun birthday party at Painting With a Twist. The kids all painted Bubbles the dolphin.
Gardener
Emma has been watching me pull a lot of weeds lately and turned into a little gardener herself. She get a little carried away though. She pulled all the tops off my flowers and half the peas from our garden. It's a good thing she's cute!

Piano Recital
Kaylee had her first piano recital yesterday. She went right up announced her piece and didn't even seem nervous. We were proud of her! She played Skip to my Lou and All the Stars are Shining.
Her piano teacher is moving this summer so we have to search for another one.
Mother's Day
On Mother's Day I said I wanted a picture of me and the kids so we walked to the Temple after church to take some.
They didn't turn out very good because of the lightning but we tried.
I am far from a perfect mother but o am so glad to have these sweet kids!

Dino day
Today was Dino day at he Texas Tech museum. There were games and crafts for the kids. It wasn't quite as good as last year but the kids still had fun.
Mother's Day Tea Party
Yesterday I went to a tea party in Brooke's class. We were served a muffin and green punch. After out "tea" we just hung out and played with some toys in the room. We were allowed to check our kids out early but since Kaylee was still in class for a while Brooke and I just played on the playground. We played tag and swung on the swings. Brooke had such a good time and I did too. I need to remember to take more time to just play with my kids. There is always so much to do that I usually just want them to play by themselves.
Sleep
These pajamas were mine she I was Emma's age. This sweet baby finally sleeps all night (she has been for over a month). She wakes up every morning by 6:30-6:45 which is earlier than I would like but I cant complain.
Dinner
Last Wednesday I was outside watching Emma and some other kids play. It was almost dinner time and I didn't know what to make and didn't want to drag all the kids inside to figure it out.
When we finally did come inside I found Kaylee and Brooke preparing this delicious meal for dinner. It was so sweet of them!
