Happy Father's day

All Jake wanted for Father's day this year was a sign saying we spent no money (since he spent so much money on my Mother's day gift).... so that's exactly what he got- along with cards and pictures the kids colored. (I'll try to make up for it next week on his birthday.)

I wanted to take a picture of him and the kids all dressed up for church but because of his calling he had to be there early and stay late so it didn't happen.

We are so blessed to have such a wonderful man! He is such a great dad!

Summer so far

Monday in June are "Member Mondays" at the zoo. We get in a hour earlier , there are treats, and free train and carousel rides.
We went with our friends Emma and Karli...

Playing dress up-  Brooke is the "vision of the night" and Kaylee was "darkness girl"

We went to Granbury lake last week and I forgot my camera. We went again today. The kids LOVE it there. They could stay all day if I let them. Too bad we have to come home for nap time.

We had lunch under Rachel's cool beach umbrella.

Austin kept sliding down on his belly. He was so happy despite it being way past his nap time. He crashed as soon as we got in the car.

There girls have also attended a summer tea party at a friends house had several play dates with friends as well as a trip to the museum. We are trying to get in all the playtime we can before we move!

I also came up with little charts for daily taks- jobs, reading, workbooks and writing. We've been hit and miss with some of those because of all our playing, but we are going to do better!

Kindergarten Graduation

Today was Kindergarten graduation. Kaylee was excited that she didn't have to wear uniform and got to dress up. The kids walked in to the Pomp and Circumstance march, sang 2 songs with actions (they were cute) and recited a poem.

This is the last week of school. We survived the kindergarten year. I actually got a little teary eyed watching the graduation. Kaylee has grown a lot this year and really come out of her shell. She is still shy but not nearly as much as she was. School has been very good for her.

Next week is summer! I'm going to have to come up with a schedule to keep us busy. We need to hit up all the fun things in DFW before we move away. Hopefully we can keep from getting too bored, but with a move coming I don't think that will happen.
