We had a cold front come through conference weekend and it was a little chilly. I had to pull out the hats, gloves, and scarves. Isn't he so cute!?!

It's so nice having a backyard for the kids to play in!!

This is his new favorite thing... we have to keep him out of the bathroom.
We took the girls to Build a Bear to spend their birthday money from Grandma and Grandpa.
 Kaylee named her bear Anna.
Brooke named her bunny Sparkle Rose Rainbow Dash.

Kaylee is 6

I'm a little slow at posting Kaylee's birthday. She started the day with birthday pancakes with sprinkles and whipped cream.
She chose to go to Olive Garden for dinner.
Then we came home and she opened presents....

Since we still had lots of leftover cake in the house Kaylee chose to have birthday Oreo pie instead. It was a nice change. She was a little nervous about the big flames coming off her candle. The flower was supposed to spin and play happy birthday but it sounded pretty sick.

Kaylee got a post card in the mail from her teacher! She is a smart girl and works hard. We are proud of our Kaylee!

Birthday Soiree

Saturday was our Fancy Nancy Birthday party for Kaylee and Brooke (their birthday's are 5 days apart so we had a combined party.) It was a little crazy with 9 kids, one baby and only me and Jake. I didn't get the best pictures because I had to do the games, make the food and try to take pictures at the same time... It was fun though.

We started out decorating fancy hats (a bowl glued on top of a plate with a hole in the middle).

 Modeling their fancy hats...

Next they made their own pizzas and while they cooked we read Fancy Nancy, and then played a game....
They passed around the bag, when the music stopped they had to pull something out and put it on.
Showing off their extra accessories.
 Eating delicious pizza....
 Opening presents
We also made parfaits ("That's French for ice-cream sundaes") and had mini cupcakes.
When the party was over we let the girls relax and watch a new Dora movie they got while we did dishes. I think the kids all had a fun time. It's kind of nice to have one party for both. We'll see how long I can get away with that before they want their own party. :)

Brooke is 4!

Brooke is 4!

She requested a "kitty cake" (she originally wanted a Dora cake so I'm glad she changed her mind) and wanted to go to Chick Fli A for dinner.

The lucky girl had a dentist appointment and a doctor appointment the same week as her birthday.
Her 4 year stats...
29 lbs- 10%
39 inches- 25%

Brooke is our social girl. She isn't shy and makes new friends easily. She loves preschool, reading stories, watching Dora, and playing dollhouse with mom and freinds. She doesn't like to play by herself (which has been hard since Kaylee is in school all day.) She also likes to ride her tricyle.  Brooke can write her name and other simple words like mom.

9 months old

I tried to take some 9 moth pictures of this boy, but he would not hold still! This is the best I got. Most of them turned out like the one below...

9 month stats...
16 lbs 12 oz- 10%
28 3/4 inches- 75%

Austin is a busy boy, crawling all over the place. He pulls himself up on anything he can. He loves to eat whatever we are eating so I don't have to make baby food anymore.

His favorite things right now are the computer. He heads straight for it and starts pushing buttons any chance he can get and outlets. He wants to unplug everything and then tries to plug it back in.
Austin doesn't like to be alone. He is used to having someone (usually a sister) near him all the time. He is a mommy's boy. Some nights he sleeps 8 hours and others he's up every 4 hours. I keep hoping he'll sleep longer. He sure is cute though.
