Halloween Party

Jake and I went to a Halloween party hosted by a couple in our ward. It was an adults only party so we had to get a babysitter. This was the first time we have ever paid for a babysitter (usually we just switch off with friends.)
A little family photo before the party.

Jake wasn't too excited about the costume I made for him (he's a spider- nylons stuffed with grocery bags for arms. I was going for a cheap costume). He was a good sport about it though. We had a good time at the party. It was nice to get out!

Happy Birthday Girls!

We had a combined birthday for Kaylee and Brooke this year on Sept. 30 (2 days after Brooke's and 2 days before Kaylee's). They both requested a Minnie Mouse cake and I didn't want to make 2 of them. I'm new to cake decorating so this didn't turn out quite as good as I hoped, but the girls loved it so that's all that matters.

They got some new clothes and lots of Barbies. Some of them were mine when I was little and the rest were from a set of 7 Disney princess Barbies I got months ago on a really good sale. The new toys kept them entertained and quiet for most of conference that weekend which was great!
Kaylee was kind enough to let Jake play with Ken (there is also an Aladdin for him.)

My 5 year old and 3 year old. They are best friends and have so much fun together! I love watching and listening to them play. They are so creative. They have 2 imaginary friends- Sourhey and Ben Krangle. Brooke invented them and Kaylee talks about them now too.
I sure love my sweet girls!
