June

June was my last month home full time with Addi.

She's a strong baby. She was rolling at 2.5 months.
The kids love to talk and sing to her and have her sing back.

At 3 months Addi moved out of her bassinet and into a crib (in my room) and she moved out of newborn clothes/diapers and she got her first haircut- a little trim to even things out and keep it out of her eyes.

School went a way into June thanks to Covid delays to she school year. We planned the summer which we knew would be different with a little baby.

End of the school year came with 8 grade rewards and and the end of middle school for Kaylee.

First and last day of school. It's amazing how much they changed in the school year.

The kids found an app that turns you into a cartoon and quite enjoyed it.

We blessed Addi on June 13 at home. It was Stake Conference the week our family was available.

Kelli went shopping with the girls and got a twinning shirt with Kaylee.

June is also Father's day. We never seem to get anything

Near the end of June my maternity leave was over and I went back to work. I had a friend Coleen watching Addi. I knew she was in good hands but it was still hard to leave and I cried a little after dropping her off. It was a bit of a transition for all of us but it worked out fine. I changed up my schedule to work Monday and Tuesday instead of the Tuesday/Friday I had been doing making summer travel much easier.

Addi loves the Teddy bear.

Jake's birthday! Austin wrapped up a can of black beans for Jake. The boys sure like their black beans.

We had a few varieties of pie for his birthday which he prefers over cake.

Another June activity was visiting Una Jean Peterson and gardening. She gave us use of some of their garden boxes since she wasn't able to maintain them all by herself.

We hung out with friends at the pool. The water was too cold for Addi's taste though.

Memorial Weekend

We went to Bear Lake to stay in the cabin for memorial day. I had to talk Jake into it. He was worried about leaving 5th Sunday class and Bishop duties but in the end I prevailed and it was a fun weekend. My parents and Kelli and Ian joined us.

We went to Bridgerland Adventure Park. We just planned on doing the tubing hill since it was a good deal.

We all enjoyed it.

There were other activities the kids and adults wanted to try but they were closing so we had to try again.

Sunday we visited the Paris, Idaho Tabernacle

We also walked by the Lake (Austin and Emma walked in the lake).

Most of the family also did the Limber Pine hike but I stayed at the cabin with a sleeping baby.

Other fun included Tyrex rides.

Monday we headed back to Bridgerland so Brooke an Ian could do the giant swing. They both loved it.

Kaylee and Grandpa did the zipline

Austin and Emma did the trampolines. My kids have always begged to do these kind of trampolines anytime they see them. Once thy finally did them they realized they weren't that fun and they were kind of uncomfortable.

I love the view from the cabin!

It was a good weekend and good get away.
