The Rest of April

Addi had her first bath April 6th. She seemed to enjoy it. All the kids were there to watch.

Her hair was super fuzzy after her bath. Addi had some sleep sacs that swaddled her. The kids called her a burrito when she was all wrapped up and frequently asked to hold "the burrito." Addi Spagahtti Burrito

April took some pictures of cute little Addi for us. It took a while since Addi was older and more aware and not so sleepy all the time. We were at the Oto house for about 2 hours.

She got some really cute pictures.

One month old! She loves to be held- especially for naps. Her naps last about 30 mins tops.

My mom and Kelli came to visit so Kelli could meet Addi. We went to lunch and shopping which were some of Addi's first outings (besides doctor visits and church.)

While visiting always helpful- my mom and Kelli put the crib together.

We also did a little exploring of Boise- the MK Nature center

Walked around a little down town

And went to Boise Fry Co. for an Idaho experience.

Lots of potatoes to chose from for fries. We got purple.

After lunch we stopped by Freak Alley

It was nice having visitors.

Austin played his first season of Yball. His first game was the weekend Addi was born and he finished up at her 6 week mark.

Also- I got my covid vaccine.

 

April Fools/Easter

April Fools day I had to do the traditional mustache on the kids. They know I'm going to do it every year and yet they still sleep through it. Brooke was up on a loft bed so she missed out this year.

April Fools day also happened to be the day of the last supper of Easter week so we celebrated that instead. Oma arrived that day to celebrate with us and help with Addi.

A few days later we did our April Fools dinner where the kids don't know what they are ordering.

The kids make sure we do this every year.

Easter Saturday the Easter bunny came. Addi got to join in the fun.

Sweet baby Addi got some stuffed animals. She looks like a little doll in Emma's arms.

Oma did lots of puzzles with the kids during conference. She also helped cook, clean, and hemmed pants for Jake. She was very helpful while visiting for a few days.

Easter Sunday we went to the Oto's house for dinner and an Easter Egg hunt. There were well over 100 eggs for the kids to find.

The Oto's always make delicious food. They did most of the work on dinner.

Brooke made the dessert.

Grandkids (minus Maddie who is on her mission) with Oma.

We dyed Easter Eggs after Easter but still got it done.

 

First few weeks

I'm playing major catch up here... It's hard to remember Addi being so small and what life was like just 5 months ago

I got lots of holding/snuggling time since the other kids were old enough to take care of themselves.

My parents were very helpful with the kids and my house projects.

People kept asking if my other kids had as much hair as Addi when they were born so I made a little collage of me and my newborns... all of us have lots of hair.

Brooke was really unsure about having a baby in the house. She was not excited and for the first few days she didn't even want to hold Addi. I had to force her. She came around though and realized it wasn't so scary and decided she wanted to hold her a lot more.

First week at church Addi was about a month old. We sat in the very front row so less people would come check her out. At this point we were only having sacrament meeting due to covid so it was nice and short.
