Ultra sound

I had another ultra sound today. I was holding off on thinking of names, clothes, etc. until I had one more ultra sound confirming a girl. She was clearly a girl so now I have to start thinking of names and I will get to pull out all the girl clothes I saved and see how many will still work.

It's nice we kept almost everything from when Kaylee and Brooke were little. The seasons will be a little different though so I will still have to buy a few new clothes.

I love these 3D ultra sounds. It is so cool to see the little girl inside me!

Pumpkin Trail

Every year Lubbock has the "Pumpkin Trail" with over a thousand carved pumpkins to look at.
It would have been a little more exciting after dark but we didn't want to keep the kids up late on a school night.

It's nice Lubbock has some fun community activities.

Ward Campout

We went on our ward campout last weekend. Jake and I debated about going... he had lots of homework and I can't sleep through the night without having to get up at least 3 times to go to the bathroom, but the kids were so excited so we went.

I didn't take any pictures that first night. I brought glow sticks and gave them out to as many kids as I could. They all loved them and I loved being able to find my kids in the dark.

We don't have a tent big enough for all of us so Jake and Brooke stayed in the smaller one and Kaylee, Austin and I  had the bigger one. I don't think Jake and I slept at all that night. Jake couldn't stretch out and I had Austin right next to me. He was moving all night long and would cry if I couldn't find his binky right away. We also had some raccoons steal our lunch during the night (they were pretty loud).

In the morning once we had breakfast and finally warmed up the kids headed to the lake.

All Austin wanted to do was throw rocks into the water.

The girls favorite park was playing with their friends at the playground.

I had to take at least one picture with me in it to prove I was there.

There was a big herd of bison across the lake from us.

The kids had a great time camping. I think next time I'll try to convince them to camp in the living room instead. ;)

Happy Birthday Kaylee!

Kaylee is 7!

She requested a chocolate mint Fancy Nancy cake. I knew there was no way I could make a good looking Fancy Nancy with frosting so I went the easy way and printed on out.

I used one cake mix and split it between 4 small cake pans and used 2 for Brooke's cake last week and 2 for Kaylee's cake this week. We've had a lot of cake lately.

Kaylee also got a doll. Now they just need some more clothes.

Some stats on my big 7 year old...

Happy Birthday Kaylee!

It's a pARTy!

On Saturday we had Kaylee and Brooke's combined birthday party. Since their birthday's are only 5 days apart and they wanted to invite the same girls there was no way I was doing 2 parties.

We turned our garage into an art studio.

We colored...

and painted....

and made necklaces.
We also played Pictionary.

We had lunch of pizza, colorful fruit and veggies
and rainbow slush.

Opened presents.

Cake and ice-cream. Five candles on one side and seven on the other.

Rainbow cake

It was a fun party!

Happy Birthday Brooke

Brooke turned 5! Crazy how fast time goes.
She requested a bunny cake. It wasn't the pretties cake but she was happy with it.

Lubbock fun

Jake is really busy with school so we try to get out of the house and give him a little study time on Saturdays. Here is one of our "field trips" to the National Ranching Heritage Center. They have a lot of old houses from all around Texas...

The old train...

The engine is HUGE!

Brooke, Austin and I went to the South Plains Fair for playgroup.  Here they are in the petting zoo.

We had lunch there too. Brooke chose corndogs. I was tempted to try a fried Milky Way but didn't want to pay $4 for it.

Baby #4

I already announced on Facebook, but incase you missed....

We are expecting baby #4 on March 10. The 15 week ultrasound says we are having another girl! I was kind of hoping for another boy for Austin but another girl will be fun! I'm excited to use all our cute dresses again. I figured it would be a girl since I was a little nauseous at the beginning like I was with Kaylee (I wasn't sick at all with Brooke and Austin.)

This is the picture we sent our families to announce the new one...

I am 17 weeks and just starting to feel the baby move. I love feeling the baby move around inside me. It makes it finally feel real that I am pregnant.

Southern Hospitality

The painting is done! This is the painting Brooke and I modeled for back in May. We got our copy of the print a few weeks ago. It turned out amazing! To see more of his work got to http://www.johnpaulstrain.com/
